Additionally, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are several other dominant Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a river boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa paddle wheel boat casino, The Isle of Capri, is available 24 hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river based gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday 21 tournaments.
Iowa casinos present an exceptional deal of tax revenue to the state government of Iowa, which has enabled the funding of a good many commonwealth wide activities. Tourism has increased at a rapid percentage along with the requirement for services and a growth in jobs.
