The largest of the Iowa gambling dens is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an Indian gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of casino area, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, like 21, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and several varieties of poker; as well as three eatery’s, biweekly shows, and gambling instructions. An additional substantial Amerindian casino is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slots, and 14 table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling dens, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a paddle wheel boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend river boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slots, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa riverboat gambling den, The Isle of Capri, is open 24 hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river based casino in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday vingt-et-un matches.
Iowa casinos provide a great amount of tax money to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has enabled the funding of many state wide activities. Tourism has gotten bigger at an accelerated percentage accompanied with the demand for processors and a growth in working people. Iowa casinos have contributed to the advancement of the market, and the affection for wagering in Iowa is widespread.
